There may be situations where a rule or code, used in a listener/alarm, may need to calculate/update a variable/array/structure periodically programmatically. How might this be achieved in the platform? Once created (instanced) do Services/Groups/Assets/Devices have the ability to store such variables/properties outside the scope of what is presented in the Web portal?

Thank you

Hi Ian_trainor,

You can use the entity Device with the variables named properties to store, update and delete your information.

I hope this help you,

Thank you,  so one cannot add/update properties to Projects/Services/Groups/Assets but can create "dummy" Devices to store retain variables used in listener/alarms code for Projects/Services/Groups/Assets
